In 2022, Farm Angels supported producers in southern Queensland who copped significant flooding, watching in anguish as stock and homes washed away. We helped farmers across central Queensland battling the effects of drought, wondering how they’ll provide for families in the coming months. Looking back through the rear-view mirror on the year that was, it’s hard to see anything but the dust. Dry paddocks, burst dams, mouse plagues, ever-piling farm bills, damaged machinery. We know the reality that for many, the dust won’t settle for some time.
Farm Angels is a charitable delivery vehicle running on generous community spirits. We distribute donations of money and gifts on behalf of our sponsors, donors, Angel Funraisers, and volunteers. We enjoy the privilege of seeing farmers’ faces light up, and get the honour of hearing humble words of thanks.
Looking forward over the bonnet into 2023, we’re hopeful for a productive – rather than destructive – season ahead for our QLD producers. As much as we’re here to listen to the past, we’re also here to help move farmers into the future. If you’re a producer in need, our channel is always open, just pick up the phone and reach out: 07 4665 7371. There will be clearer roads ahead.
