Thank you for taking an interest in becoming an Angel FUNraiser. The support we offer Aussie farmers is reliant on the generosity of public and corporate donations to assist us in our vision:
To Ensure our Australian Agricultural Industry is sustainable, preserved and thriving for the benefit of everybody.
We value all enquiries from individuals, community groups and businesses that will assist us in raising awareness and funds to support our mission of providing relief to farming families across Australia who are or have been affected by droughts, floods or natural disaster.
Any person raising funds for Farm Angels must comply with relevant laws and regulations within their applicable State or Territory. We must approve and authorise all volunteer and fundraising activities that raise money for Farm Angels. To help us assess if your proposed activities are a good match with Farm Angels’ vision, we ask that you complete an Application to Fundraise.
To assist you in preparing your proposal we have developed the following guidelines. If, after reading these guidelines, you believe your proposal meets all the requirements, we would welcome your submission. All Applications to Fundraise will be responded to within 14 days. If your proposal is compatible, we will provide you with a Letter of Authority to fundraise on our behalf and supporting documents to assist you with your fundraising activities and ensure you are fulfilling your financial obligations.
Please read the following guidelines carefully before completing your Application to Fundraise
- Any fundraising activity undertaken to raise funds for Farm Angels may be conducted by you personally or by your group/club/business, however you, as the Authorised Nominee, will have sole responsibility for upholding the terms and conditions of the event/activity.
- Any promotional material must clearly state that the event is “raising funds for Farm Angels”. It is not to be referred to as a Farm Angels event.
- Our Farm Angels logo is legally trademarked therefore you must have our approval before using it in your promotional materials. You must not, under any circumstances, edit or alter the logo. You must not screen print, embroid or use the logo to make stickers without seeking explicit approval from Farm Angels. Any use of the logo, beyond the scope of advertising for your approved event must also be pre-approved by Farm Angels. Guidelines for using our logo will be included in the Fundraising Toolkit provided on approval of your fundraising activity.
- Any property belonging to Farm Angels i.e., Banners etc must also be returned within 30 days of the approved event or the expiry date of your Letter of Authority (whichever is later). The Authorised Nominee, detailed on the Letter of Authority, is responsible for the safe custody and return of items and donations.
- A gift donation is described as an amount of money given with no expectation of a benefit in return for the amount given. Please be aware that tickets to attend fundraising events, purchase auction items, raffle tickets etc are not donations and therefore not eligible to receive a tax-deductible receipt.
- Funds raised must be reconciled and forwarded to Farm Angels within 30 days of the completion of the fundraising activity/or the closing date of your Letter of Authority (whichever is later).
- Funds raised, and individual donations can be deposited directly to our bank account. Account details will be supplied with your Letter of Authority. Donations can also be made at any time via this website by accessing the fundraiser donations page under the Donate tab. Please ensure you use the fundraising reference (found on your Letter of Authority) when processing your payment
- You are not authorised to deposit any funds raised into your personal bank account. Once you receive an authority to raise funds for Farm Angels any funds raised using our name must be deposited into our approved account.
- Farm Angels or a representative will endeavour to attend fundraising events when requested. This is at the discretion of Farm Angels and dependent on availability. Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks for your request to be eligible for consideration.
- Farm Angels is unable to provide any public liability insurance for fundraising events organised by others. It is your responsibility to obtain the insurances relevant to your fundraising activities.
- Farm Angels accepts no responsibility for any accidents or incidents that occur during the organisation or running of approved fundraising activities.
- It is your responsibility as the Authorised Nominee to gain any licences or approvals to operate your fundraising activity from relevant local and state authorities.
- Whilst conducting a fundraising activity for Farm Angels and to protect the Farm Angels reputation, we ask that you and others assisting you act in an appropriate matter.
- Any person who undertakes a fundraising activity on behalf of a registered charity without authorisation by that charity is acting outside of the law and can be prosecuted.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel at any time the granting of a fundraising authority if we believe it is not in the best interests of you or Farm Angels.
